For Suruchi and Rishabh...

It took one moment, and the world just made more sense,
Overshadowing the occasional glimpses that seemed tense.
The next instance, you blushed with the butterfly-ed belly,
Envisaging the probable situation gaily.

The ringing bells within became mellow,
Your hearts took their course, and all you did was follow.
It was comforting, never could it feel more right,
you still were nervous, with fists clenched tight.

Emails, chat boxes and SMS's popped every minute of your day.
What is wrong with both of you?? Your families would say.
Ignoring their monotonous mutter, back to your credential clutter.
When questioned by them, all you did was flutter.

The day you first met, you couldn't sleep all night.
Contemplating/ Mocking at your initial modesty and fright.
Thereafter, your blush had been pretty conspicuous.
Everybody around you had never been so suspicious.

Nobody bought your fancy stories anywhere.
You finally spelt it, taking great care.
Excitement then was the word of the hour.
They reaped the most of it, before it turned sour.

Only you knew, that it required more time to brew.
Focussing and making efforts for the next month or few.
Only to know a little later that it was meant to be.
It was beyond obvious now, which you before refused to see.

The proposal now was dearly awaited.
It came at a time Suruchi never had expected.
Rishabh swept you off your feet, would be an understatement.
And from that day on till now, there has been no relentment.

The city of love, was where Rishabh vouched for his love for you.
Beyond every doubt, he knew it was always you.
Suruchi almost passed out ecstatically.
Her knight in shining armour had arrived, speaking metaphorically.

Both sides wasted no time in making their preparations.
Everybody being pumped up for all the celebrations.
Thaing the knot in Thailand as we are,
We thank all who came to relish this occasion so far.

An endless wait you both have endeavoured,
and now we thank you for the joy we savoured.
We wish you both, all the good adjectives filled, Happy Married Life.
And no more escapades for you Rishabh, without your lovely wife..

Love you both....
